BrewBird
I remember when I first connected with BrewBird vividly. At the time, I was nearing the end of my college years, working on Rove, and I had felt enveloped with uncertainty. Only two things were clear to me: my destiny lay in tech entrepreneurship, and my knowledge about startups was virtually non-existent. On my intro call with the founder, I remember explaining why he should hire me—that I would be utterly expendable to him, willing to work tirelessly to learn what I lacked.
When I joined BrewBird, it was still in its infancy, toiling away at a product that could be released to paying customers and looking to raise its Series A. This period offered me invaluable insights into the process of evolving a product from an MVP, launching it to beta testers, and then continuously iterating based on feedback to meet the needs of our customers. It was a time of hands-on learning in building, demoing, and pitching the product directly to real customers, all while receiving mentorship from professionals across various disciplines, interactions beyond my initial expectations.
Within a year of being part of the team, I took on the role of the sole Embedded Software Engineer for the next-generation product, leading to successful launches with our first paying customers, Pinterest and Meta. This experience taught me the critical importance of adaptability during challenging times and the continuous cycle of product iteration and delivery.
As BrewBird evolved, it transitioned into a company that embraced established standards and practices grounded in engineering fundamentals, I was presented with the opportunity to deepen my understanding of disciplined product development. This process, reminiscent of the scientific method, involved transforming creative solutions into viable products through rigorous testing and data analysis, ultimately leading to conclusions that justify their application.
This extraordinary journey has equipped me with a comprehensive toolkit, enabling me to turn any idea into reality with confidence. Above all, it has instilled in me the significance of perseverance and the courage to create something of value and pursue it to its end.
